Research
Observational cosmology, galaxy formation and evolution, active galactic nuclei, deep radio, infrared and submillimetre surveys.
These days my research is focused on exploiting the ALMA observatory to understand the physical conditions of the gas and dust in galaxies at all redshifts. My research is performed using all sorts of multi-wavelength evidence for obtaining detailed analyses of extragalactic objects. I try to tackle the way in which galaxies have evolved as a function of redshift, in particular the physical mechanisms that control the star formation activity in galaxies.
